The first meeting of the Mallard Bay Book Club 2009-2010
season will be held on Sunday, September 20th at 4 PM at the Mallard Bay
Clubhouse. We will have a book discussion of our summer books, a pot
luck supper and planning meeting. We will choose the books to read in
the coming months, so please bring your suggestions.
The books we read this summer were:
Life and Death in Shanghai by Nien Cheng
Snowflower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See
If you have not been able to read these books during the summer, that's
OK-come anyway!
The Mallard Bay Book Club is open to all residents of Mallard Bay and we have
also invited congenial non-resident friends to join us. We usually meet
on the third Sunday of the month at 3 PM at our members' homes from September
to April (skipping December). We have light refreshments and lively
conversations.
