2009 Annual Meeting

The next Mallard Bay Property Owners' Association annual membership meeting will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 1:00pm in the clubhouse.  All Mallard Bay property owners are highly encouraged to attend.

MBPOA Board President Barry Kean has mailed a packet of material to all property owners including a synopsis of planned activities at the meeting.  Please read carefully through your copy so you will be prepared.  If you did not receive a mailing, please contact Barry at [email protected].

Among the items to be discussed at the meeting are two proposed amendments to the Mallard Bay Protective Covenants including:

Increasing the width of pontoon boats that may be operated on the two lakes in the community.

Deleting outdated verbiage in the covenants regarding the merging of two contiguous lots for purposes of determining annual assessments.

Additionally, elections will be held for vacant positions on next year's Board of Directors.

Wild West Casino Night Raises Money for Charityadfasdas

The three Carols Social Committee (Carols Henderson, Bracker, and Poundstone) gave us a bit of a change of pace Saturday, September 26 with a charity casino night.  The theme was the Wild West and most participants appeared in western garb including bolo ties, hats, belt buckles, blue jeans and even some spurs.  At the end of the evening, Social Committee Chairperson Carol Henderson announced the event had raised $430 for the selected charity, the Mid-County Rescue Squad.  Games of chance included poker, roulette and blackjack.

Participants donated $10 each for the opportunity to play the various games as well as a chance at winning one of four door prizes at the end of the evening.

Many thanks to all who participated and particularly to those who worked on planning, set-up, game management, and clean-up including Dale and Carol Henderson, Jay and Carol Poundstone, Dale Fox, Frank Dennis and Sylvia Baldwin.

See the pictures section for a few views of the event.
