Is Yhwh, the Same God as Allah? Part 3

Part Three

YHWH desires a personal relationship.

YHWH of the Bible is a personal God, who seeks for a personal relationship with mankind, whom He has created. It is always He who takes the initiative in these relationships with mankind. We see this in His relationship with people, like Adam, Abraham, Israel, Moses, David, and the Apostles. Further to this, all true Christians have a personal relationship with Him.

For the most part in the Old Testament God is portrayed as the Angel of YHWH and in the New Testament as Jesus. But the personal relationship which God shows that He desires to have with us is as close as father and a son, or husband and a wife - friend to friend.

Consider:
"And they saw the God of Israel; and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and as it were the very heaven for clearness. And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: and they beheld God, and did eat and drink." (Exodus 24: 10-11 ASV)

"And Jehovah (YHWH) spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend." (Exodus 33:11 ASV)

"And Jehovah (YHWH) descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of Jehovah (YHWH). And Jehovah (YHWH) passed by before him, and proclaimed, Jehovah (YHWH), Jehovah (YHWH), a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth," (Exodus 34: 5-9 ASV)

"Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD (YHWH). And many nations shall be joined to the LORD (YHWH) in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD (YHWH) of hosts hath sent me unto thee. ." (Zechariah 2: 10-11)

"Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and dost thou not know me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; how sayest thou, Show us the Father?" (John 14: 8-9 ASV)

"Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my word: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." (John 14: 24 ASV)

"Ye are my friends, if ye do the things which I command you. No longer do I call you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I heard from my Father, I have made known unto you." (John 15: 14-15 ASV)

Allah - Is impersonal, abstract, cannot be approached.

Allah's only desire is to be worshiped. In exchange for this he promises a relationship that is described by psychologists as co-dependent, based only on mutual interests. No Muslim, not even Muhammad himself has been able to directly encounter Allah. Yet strangely, while everything is done through an angel (Jibriel), it is all done in the dark.

"He is Allah, than whom there is no other God," (Surah 59:22, 28:70; 2:255; 4:87; 6:102)

"Say (O Muhammad, to mankind): Who is an enemy to Gabriel! For he it is who hath revealed (this Scripture) to thy heart by Allah's leave," (Surah 2: 97)

Allah is not interested in being a friend, he prefers Slaves.

"And if ye are in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto Our slave (Muhammad), then produce a sura or the like thereof, and call your witnesses beside Allah if ye are truthful." (Surah 2: 23)

"He is the Omnipotent over His slaves, and He is the Wise, the Knower." (Surah 6: 18)

"Announce, (O Muhammad) unto My slaves that verily I am the Forgiving, the Merciful." (Surah 15: 49)

"There is none in the heavens and the earth but cometh unto the Beneficent as a slave." (Surah 20: 93)

Allah has no family and most definitely no sons

"It befitteth not (the Majesty of) Allah that He should take unto Himself a son." (Surah 19: 35)

"..it is not meet for (the Majesty of) the Beneficent that He should choose a son." ( Surah 20: 92)

"Allah hath not chosen any son, nor is there any God along with Him;" (Surah 24: 91)

YHWH has many Children.

Has many sons and daughters, indeed they are His people, whom He has always desired to aid directly, guide Himself and maintain a close intimate relationship with;

Consider:
"And Jehovah (YHWH) said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people that are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; and I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians," (Exodus 3: 7-8 ASV)

"..Thus saith Jehovah(YHWH), the God (Elohiym) of Israel, Let my people go,.." (Exodus 5: 1 ASV)

"I will walk among you, and will be your God (Elohiym), and ye shall be my people. I am Jehovah (YHWH) your God (Elohiym), who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bars of your yoke, and made you go upright." (Leviticus 26: 12-13 ASV)

"But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith Jehovah: I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people: and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith Jehovah: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more." (Jeremiah 31: 33-34 ASV)

"I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God. " ( Hosea 2: 23 ASV)

"I say unto you, love your enemies, and pray for them that persecute you; that ye may be sons of your Father who is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust." (Matthew 5: 44-45 ASV)

"Ye are my friends, if ye do the things which I command you." (John 15: 14 ASV)

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God." (Romans 4: 18 ASV)

Conclusion:
The two are opposed in this, YHWH desires to be close to His people, to lead them, guide them, indeed to "walk among them".

Allah, wants only "submissive slaves" he is not interested in a relationship of any kind with his followers, but desires only their worship and obedience to himself and Muhammad. His is a co-dependent relationship.

Therefore I conclude that once again Allah is in no manner equal to YHWH.

YHWH constantly reiterates his care, devotion and love for mankind, and most definitely is the One True God (YHWH by name), of the Bible more devoted to those who believe in Him than any other.

From the time of Creation The One True God (YHWH), has uniquely, in the history of mankind given so much more of Himself to people in order that we would know His Love and Devotion to us, His creation. Culminating in the greatest act of all, by fulfilling all the requirements He Himself set, of Himself so that anyone of us could then "walk with Him", "talk with Him" - "live in Him."
