As Allah?
It is a common teaching among Islam and in some Church's that
"Allah" of the Qur'an is the same as "YHWH" of the Biblical narrative.
The purpose of this paper is to simply examine the writings of these "Religions"
while asking the question, "Is YHWH also Allah?"

Most people today it seems have simply taken the word of Islam and applied it to their belief structure without actually examining the evidence that is available to us, and therefore believe that the God of Judaism and Christianity is the same god of Islam. However, it is my contention that such is not the case.
In attempting to answer the question is YHWH the same as Allah one must not only look at the similarities but more importantly the difference.
When we examine fradulant documents to find the fraudulent among the valid we do not simply look to the similarities and accept all that appear the same. Every fraudulant document must comply 100% with the previous standard, the title (id tag) may differ, but the documents will otherwise be identical in every respect.
The same is true of banknotes. When we examine banknotes to find the fraudulent among the real we do not look to the similarities and accept that which appears to be the same. Every banknote must comply 100% with the previous standard, again the serial number (id tag) may differ, but the notes will otherwise be identical in every respect.
Now given that, when we are speaking of God we are looking to our eternal destiny then I suggest that, we should all give much more careful examination to all things, whether we are Christiasns or not and especially so as Christians when another "Religious" group claims to follow the same God of the Biblical narrative.
What then is the evidence that shows us whether or not YHWH and Allah are the same god?
Firstly we have the writings of Judaism. These are within the Christian Bible and known as "The Old Testament." Within these writings we see a God who is said to be the Creator of All, Sustainer of All. Who is Just, Righteous, Loving, and who desires Fellowship with those He has created. However this fellowship is marred by ignorance and the "sin" nature that has entered into His creation through disobedience and unfaithfulness.
This God constantly speaks of His care for His creation and the coming Messiah whom He will send to remove this barrier and allow mankind to again walk with Him in Fellowship.
Secondly we have the writings of the "New Testament" of the Christian Bible. In these we see the prophecies of the coming Messiah fulfilled and God's plan to redeem mankind acted out in the life, death and resurrection of Our Lord Jesus. Thus we see that these two collections speak consistently of One God who's name is YHWH, and His work to bring about the salvation of all those who will simply believe that He does care and His Messiah is the One And Only Savior.
On the other hand we have the writings of Islam, the Qur'an, the Hadith (sayings and actions of Muhammad), and the History of Islam.
The name of God in the Qur'an is said to be "Allah", who is the Creator and Sustainer of all that He has created. He like YHWH of the Bible is said to be the God of Abraham, the physical ancestor of the Hebrews and spiritual ancestor of the Christians.
On the basis of this most have simply accepted the Islamic claims without examining the evidence. That is the purpose of this work. To briefly examine the Biblical evidence along with the Quranic evidence, and attempt to answer the question once and for all, “Is YHWH the same God as Allah?”
