ALABAMA SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL (subject to change) - for more info go to www.ASF.net or call 800-841-4ASF. Schoolfest performances are offered on weekday mornings for reduced prices. You can order in advance for either a group, or a family. Children under age 5 are not admitted. ASF also offers a "Behind the Scenes" tour, available throughout the year, for a small fee.

Roller Skating in Montgomery. Community wide home school roller skating is the third Wednesday of every month at Looney's Skate Center, 3541 McGhee Road, Montgomery (281-1032) from 1:00- 3:00 pm. It begins in September and goes through May. Costs are $3.00 for skate rental or skating if you bring your own skates, $6.00 for in-line skates, and $2.00 for all you can eat pizza (drinks extra). Non-skaters do not have to pay.
Roller Skating in Prattville meets the first Friday (1:00 - 3:00 pm) of every month during the school year at Wonder World, 127 North Memorial Dr., Prattville (365-6600). Cost for Combo Skate & Softplay is $6, Skate or Softplay $4, In-line skates $1 extra. Homeschool Lunch Special is $2.50 for either hot dog/drink or slice of pizza/drink.
Homeschool Chess Club
Meets on Thursdays during the school year at Eastern Hills Baptist Church (off exit 4 of I-85, between the Interstate and Atlanta Hwy.) at 3-4:30pm. It's free and those with chess boards are asked to bring them so that there are enough sets. Beginners will learn about different pieces, while those who know how to play receive an excellent lesson and then play a game. Please contact James Garner at 281-3114 if you have any questions.
