The Armory Learning Arts Center http://montgomeryal.gov/depts/parks/recreation.aspx (1018 Madison Ave, Montgomery, 241-2787) has classes such as Painting, Drawing, Photography, Pottery, and Glass Fusing. There are classes for everyone ages 4 to adult.
Frances McBrien of McBrien Design (located in Prattville near I-65 exit 179) teaches art to homeschoolers. Locally established art teacher since 2000 with an Associate Degree in Fine Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. Call 361-2238 or e-mail Frances.

Basic Art History and Artist Recognition taught along with lesson to build an understanding of art and technique to your child. My classes differ from other art classes because I do teach art history not just the how-to of art mechanics. Instruction in drawing with pencil, marker, oil pastels, ink, etc. Painting with watercolor and acrylics. Sculpting and collage are also a favorite for the children. Call or e-mail as soon as possible to reserve your child's/children's seat.
