Heritage Baptist Church's Academy of Performing Arts, 1849 Perry Hill Road, 279-9976 has music teachers for almost every instrument, as well as vocal teachers.

Choir for Homeschoolers:
Capital City Singers (grades 6-12) will include music education through a choral setting including: reading music, sight reading, singing in English as well as foreign languages. We will also take a 5-10 day choir tour in the spring. We do some fundraising. Members must purchase performance attire that can be used every year. This group meets on Wednesdays, at Eastern Hills Baptist Church from 2:00 - 3:00.
Junior Capital City Singers (grades 3-5) and Wee Singers (grades K-2) will learn the basics of music education by playing games, story telling, activities, movement and singing. Concert opportunities will be given to allow your children the opportunity to perform. Older children will develop more choral techniques to prepare them for the secondary choir (Capital City Singers). Junior Singers meet on Wednesdays, at Eastern Hills Baptist Church from 1:00 - 1:55. Wee Singers meet on Wednesdays, at Eastern Hills Baptist Church from 12:00 - 12:45 (Only if 10 or more are signed up.). Contact Karen (272-8556).
Costs for above choir groups::
- $25.00 a month ($10/each for the 2nd and 3rd children living in the same household. Free for 4th or more children living in the same household.)
- $25.00 annual music fee per child (to purchase music, rental of concert halls, or any other fees that might occur).
-Concert attire. (Costs vary.) Capital City Singers only.
-Tour costs.
