~The Radiation Rider~
For as far back as anyone can remember, mankind has fought.  Fought for survival, fought for ambition, fought to impose his ideal on his fellow man.  War, some say, is only a means to an end, and because that end is peace, it is justified.  But is it?

Battle was often glorified in ancient times.  What could be more glorious than the struggle of life or death, to test yourself against another human, and to truly find out who is the better?  War was an intensely personal thing for many, from the soldiers in the field to the Kings and Queens in their palaces.  For if a war was lost, it sometimes meant the loss of a way of life, or even an entire culture.

As time went on, man learned to build machines to help him wage his wars for him.  Guns, cannons, tanks, planes, each allowed man to kill his fellow human beings with ease...but not always precision.  In the days of old, it was nessecary to face those you killed.  But as we enter this new millenium, we have had the secret of atomic weapons for decades...and still we search for even more powerful weapons, capable of even more devastation than the previous.  When whole civilizations can be wiped out by a nuclear missle...at the mere press of a button...

How much greater the tragedy, that so many can be killed so easily...because the killer need never see his victim's face.
