The ski resorts are evaluated after four criteria:
- Price
- Service
- Skiing
- Overall Impression and atmosphere
Keep in mind when comparing: Prices are always high in Switzerland and this is especially true on any tourist location. Service level is generally extremely low in Switzerland and especially on any tourist location. Skiing on the other hand is always very good in Switzerland, actually among the best in the world.
For a top rating the balance between the four must be right. I personally tend to put a higher value on service and good skiing than on price.

Overall Impression and atmosphere: Nearby Z�rich but still a "real" Alp.
Comment:
Great and steep slopes. Plenty of "Puckel Piste" and it's relative height almost guarantees fresh powder. To reach the summit you will have to go with not less than three (3!!!) different and time consuming cabins. The last one of them has a revolving floor. Installed to confuse the already confused Asian tourists who immediately starts to run around inside the cabin in order to compensate that the door slowly drifts away from them...

Highly over-recommended but without doubt a very good ski resort. It will always impress your friends when you let them know that you have been skiing in St Moritz. You will be able to find all kinds of skiing and boarding possibilities as well as all famous designers shops here.

Service: Actually the only Swiss ski resort with decent service on an international scale

Overall Impression and atmosphere: The only ski resort in Switzerland that has adapted to tourism and it's demands.

Comment:
Hearty and friendly. Has got everything for all kind of skiers as well as families. The only back draw is the way to get there. The road is said to have one bend in each direction for each day of the year. I don't think this is enough. It is tiresome to drive the last 30km since it will most certainly have traffic jam and even without jam it takes an hour!

Comment:
It's vicinity to Zürich can make it crowded even though I have never experienced it. Good parking facilities in parking house free of charge. Just walk over a bridge directly from the parking house, buy your ticket and go with the cabin directly to the summit. Excellent, easy and good. It is not that high, about 1800 meters, but is a good suggestion for an improvised day tour. Late in the season it will be totally empty, the skiing will be perfect and you have all the slopes for your self!

Overall Impression and atmosphere: Friendlier than St Moritz. Wilder boarders and more drunken skiers in the afternoon.

Comment:
Parsenn is cleverly built with a small train taking you all the way up to the summit. Simply board it in the valley and get off at the top. Great, simple and perfect for anyone who is scared of heights. One of the best ski resorts in Switzerland considering it's infrastructure and wide rage of off-pist activities. You will have to watch out since several of the runs actually goes up and down. Suddenly you can find yourself in an upward slope having to go into fierce skating to keep your speed up! If you have bad luck and get only in those slopes you will not have a good day of skiing.

Another great tourist attraction. World Cup skiing and the summit Jungfraujoch attracts thousands of tourists. Due to the large area the resorts easily handle the crowds and well up in the slope you don't realise how much people are really there - not until you are in your car on your way back! Good and versatile skiing. Brags about having the longest cabin in the world. There is also a possibility to with a small train to the top.

Skiing: Lots of ups and downs - not very funny. There are better options in Switzerland

Overall Impression and atmosphere: No need to go here unless you want to get offended by Swiss farmers - and have to pay dearly for it.

Just another mountain, but with a lot of hills and ups and downs in the runs.

Overall Impression and atmosphere: A lot of skiing for small investment of time
Comment:
The same style as Hoch-Ybrig but larger and higher. A little bit further away from Z�rich but well worth it. More slopes, steeper and thanks to the (in comparison with Hoch-Ybrig) relative height almost always good snow and a long season. In the end of the season only a few of the lifts will be open but you will still be alone here if you go in Mid-April.
