2000-06-08-12: Sunny, nice and warm. Jeanette and I went to the lake for a swim and enjoyed the summer weather. Met Alexander, Markus, Anna and Mike. Monday evening I kicked the entire game arcaeds ass in Sega Rally 2 - what a come back after two months!
2000-06-07; Jeanette comes to Z�rich tonight and stays until sunday! I'm happy!!!!
2000-06-06; Swedens National day! Hooray!!! My mother is back in Sweden and it is once again rather lonesome here. We had the best of times and finally the summer weather came back and the sun shone on us. Now the rin is pooring down again and I don't know what to do. Probably I'll spend a lot of time in the fitness studio trying to catch up with my weigtloss after the hand surgery. Anyway I'm generally feeling fine and I hope all eMagS fine are fine too!
2000-05-24; Everything is fine and I am feeling happy. My mother is coming to Z�rich today to visit me. She is not here that often so I'm looking forward to see her and to present Z�rich in (at the moment) lovely summer weather.

2000-05-20; Went to an aerobic Marathon in Luzern with outstanding instructor and presenter Staffan Perman visiting from Sweden and his girlfriend Andrea. Great fun!
2000-05-16; In hospital again. This time to get the plaster removed. What a feeling! I don't care that it hurts, it is just beautiful to be able to move and wash the hand and lower arm again after one month in the darkness.. Anyway, it seems from the X-Ray pictures as if the surgery has gone well and the hand will be fully recovered in a few months. It has to rest for two more weeks and in about one month the two "iron girders" inside the bone will be removed. Right now I cant move the fingers but I am happy!! after this I'll try to get my hands (!) on the X-Ray pics and publish them here. Many thanks to all of you who have been sending greetings, e-mails and jokes and standing by me during this time. Big thanks in particular to Jeanette, Mom, Helena and Alexander for driving me everywhere I wanted to go and helping me with things I could not do myself. Tack!

2000-05-12; A few days left in Sweden. On Sunday I return to Zurich. On the 16th my plaster goes off! Then rehab starts
2000-05-03; Yeehaa! I'm in Sweden! Last Friday they took the stiches away and I got a new plaster. Thinner and better. The hand does not hurt that much anymore and all your electronic greetings still cheers me up - Thank's again!
2000-04-25 Finally things are getting better. Jeanette was here and we spent a wonderful Easter together. The hand is doing fine. I am not allowed to work yet but my collegues sent me flowers and I visited them today at the office to clear a few things up. I'll be back in business on May the 2:nd. Unfortunately updating and expansion of eMagS is lagging behind since I have problems typing. But thanks to you all for visiting!!! It really cheers me up!!!!
2000-04-17 Had my hand in surgery at the University Hospital in Z�rich. Four hours and they installed three steel "girders" in my hand. Two of them had to be drilled and hammered into the bone all the way from the wrist to the fingers. One was attached to the outside of the bone and fixed to the internal ones. Then it all was sewn together and packed in a massive plaster which I'll carry till the end of May...

2000-04-10; Long weekend, B��gg burning and I stayed away from the festivities - too crowded. Went to the annual UniParty at the University of Z�rich. Great fun! Never seen such a huge party! 15.000 people dancing, partying and having fun! A must for next years calendar!!!
2000-04-07; I am feeling fine again and we have a local (in Z�rich only) holiday on Monday - Sechsel��te! Celebrating that the spring is here (similar to Valborg in Sweden but not as much partying)

2000-04-03; My work permit expires on april the 17th. I can't prolong it so I will have to apply for a new one-year permit for my last three months. More administration, more administration fees and interesting discussions with the "Fremdenpolizei" (Foreigner Police) Read the related eMagS article about Swiss work permits.
2000-03-30 -04-02; Visit by my sister in law, Helena. We went skiing at Hoch-Ybrig. Almost one metre fresh powder, sunny blue skies and great skiing. Z�rich won the Swiss ice-hockey championship for the first time in 39 years. All bars and clubs were open all night and the "Z�rcher" partied in a way I have never seen before. Also by coincidence met Roland and Andrea. Great fun!
2000-03-23; Went to Chur in central Switzerland to visit my friend J�rg and go to his farewell party. He goes to Ireland for one year. Nice people, nice family and a great time. Sad he is leaving....
2000-03-21; I have a wetzer!!! It is basically a skateboard and it takes me everywhere! See the wetzer hompage for more info!
2000-03-18-20; Jeanette was here! We went to Rapperswil, strolled in the sunshine and had lunch at an outdoor restaurant! The girl serving us was Norwegian...Funny, We seem to bump into Scandinavian people all the time! The spring is finally here!!!
2000-03-16; Took Nicole's Aerobic Class at Arena225 - Great! 30 Minutes in the machine gym and then computer gaming with Alex. Moorhuhner....
2000-03-12; Alex and I went to "Papa Joe's" Restaurant. (See eMagS Out&About) We had never been there before but it was acually not bad at all. Later in the car game it was all victories for me...!
2000-03-01; Had to go to Bern...such a lousy village...our capitol....Everything moves in slo-mo and has the colour of grey.

2000-02-27; Skiing in Titlis. Dreadful queing but worth it. Markus, Micke, Anna, Thomas and Anette: Thanks for a lot of fun and interesting styles in the "Buckelpischte"!
2000-02-25; Markus and I will meet down town to enjoy our selves tonight, Alex is still not well but we can probalby entertain us anyway eventhough it might not be the same witout Dr. Alex!

2000-02-13; Yippie!!! I made the first part of the G�the Test!!! Oh, man, am i lucky! The G�the Test is a German Test for which I have been studying (not too hard...) the last six months...I am still awaiting the results from Part 2 of the test.
2000-02-13; OK - I am back in Z�rich. With delay and aking knees I arrived at ZH/Kloten. During the 18 Months of travel between Sweden and Switzerland Swissair/Crossair has not once landed on time...The "Jumbolino" have no space between the chairs and my legs are hurting after the person in front of me several times put his chair in the laid back position hittingmy knees with full power...I will NOT travel with this company any more.....
2000-02-12; Yes, I am in Sweden! The entire Week End! I went to the hair dresser, scanned through all fashion shops and enjoyed the freindly athmosphere with service minded and smiling people. A pity that I relly did not need to buy anything this time....Of course most of the time is spent with Jeanette. A visit to mom is planned this afternoon.

2000-02-05; Alex and I went to Konstanz, Germany. A nice place with friendlier and more service minded shopping than Z�rich, Lower prices and neately situated by the lake Bodensee too makes it the Tip of the day.

2000-01-02; I have eventually done both my German Language Tests at The Goethe Institut. Now I am awaiting the results...keep your fingers crossed!

2000-01-31; Since I and Alexander found the Arcade Game Hall in Z�rich Niederdorf we are both running low on cash....Sega Rally 2 is addictive...

2000-01-20; My In-Door Palm Tree is doing fine...luckily since Sara and Peter, who gave it to me, said that I am responsible with my own life for it...

2000-01-10; found several good restaurants in the last days. New favourite for fast Fast Food: Shuan Long Chinese at Stadelhofen Station.

Cannabis Soon Legalised?
The Swiss parliament has decided to accept the proposition of legalisation of cannabis in Switzerland. Now the government has to say yes (or rather yeahhh...) And then the Swiss can do drugs legal. eMagS does not take any stand point in this issue (or any issue in swiss politics) so we leave it without any further comments...........
Skiing in Davos
Well, one of the major benefits of beiing located in Switzerland is naturally the perfect skiing conditions in just a few minutes from home. 15-16/1 I was in Davos with my friends Werner, Hans-Peter and Daniela. Thank you all for a great Week end!!! (00-01-18)
The SAAB is Happy!
After the disaster with my neighbour smashing right into my car with his Jeep the SAAB has now been cured and is doing extremely well after the operation....Thanks to good surgeons at the Klus Grarage....(00-02-07)
Air MagS
For the first time I have tried Parachuteing. A great experience flying high above the impressive Swiss Alps! Of course I had to start with a tandem jump with an experienced pilot who anyway managed to give us a minor crash landing after more than 30 minutes of flying! Great!
Swiss Plates for the SAAB
The SAAB recently got Swiss Export Plates. She is not to happy about it and neither is my wallet. But it is a strong recommendation do go for this alternative rather than paying the Customs and VAT in Switzerland. More Info? Write me!
