Johann Jacobs Museum
For anyone who ever drinks a cup of coffe. Free entrance, free coffee and interesting exhibitions. This is a really nice little museum in the central parts of Z�rich. Whenever you stroll along the Seequai - pop in and enjoy it! It is situated right next to the Frascati restaurant. Rigth now they are showing the exhibition "Coffee Talks". There you can fill out a form and get to know what "Coffe Personality" you are!

All museums marked with yellowish background colour and the text 
"this is an eMagS Recommendation!!!" are well worth a visit. Generally spoken all museums in Z�rich are well worth a visit, but some are better than others. Generally also the admission fees are low and many offers a free entrance on Sundays, like for instance the Kunsthaus Z�rich, which is an absolute must if you take any interest at all in arts.

Excellent exhibitions and friendly staff - Coffe for free and nice atmosphere - What more could you ask for???

Bellerive Museum
H�schgasse 3, near Z�richhorn. Changing exhibitions on the craft industry from the Art Nouveau era to the present day. Gallery exhibitions by Swiss artists, changing exhibitions from the museum's collection.

Z�rich University Archaeological Collection
R�mistrasse 73. Collection of Egyptian, Assyrian, Greek, Etruscan and Roman art. Plaster casts in the style of antique originals.

B�rengasse 22, near Paradeplatz. Permanent exhibition on Z�rich's home decor, changing exhibitions in collaboration with the National Museum.

E.G. B�hrle Foundation Collection
Zollikerstrasse 172. Impressive private collection of French art, predominantly Impressionist works from the 19th and 20th century. Old Masters and medieval sculptures.

Heimplatz. Z�rich's number one place for art.  Paintings, sculptures and graphic art, mostly from the 19th and 20th centuries. Alberto Giacometti Foundation, Dada Collection, Collection of the Foundation for Photography.  This is an eMagS Recommendation!!!

M�hlerama
Seefeldstrasse 231, in the old mill at Tiefenbrunnen. Operational mill dating back to 1913. Exhibition on mills and millers, bread and wheat. Audio-visual show.

Swiss National Museum
Museumstrasse 2, behind the main railway station. Permanent exhibition with exhibits relating to the history of Switzerland, as well as special exhibitions.

Thomas Mann Archives at the Federal Institute of Technology
Sch�nberggasse 15. Thomas Mann's manuscripts, library and study.

Red Indian Museum
Schoolhouse, Feldstrasse 89. Collection on the life and culture of the North-American Indian.

Ausstellungsstrasse 60. Changing exhibitions on design, graphic art, architecture, photography, the media and everyday life. Poster, graphic art and design collections.

Toys

Depuoz Private Toy Collection
St�ssihofstatt 9. Vast collection of antique dolls and toys. The small museum is located in an historic building in Z�rich's  Niederdorf. Private tour by appointment only.

Botanic Gardens and Natural Science

Z�rich Toy Museum
Fortunagasse 15/Rennweg turnoff. Toys from centuries past from the Franz Carl Weber Collection. Franz Carl weber is the top toy store in Switzerland. (Bahnhofstr.)

New Botanical Gardens
Zollikerstrasse 107. Collections of plants from all over the world, approx. 1.5 million plants, including rare varieties from South-West Africa and New Caledonia. Nice but sceintific, the exhibition garden in Basel is more beautiful.

Z�rich Museum of Tin Figures
Obere Z�une 19. Collection of tin figures, both as toys and as representational objects. Well, the Swiss collect anything, tin-sodiers are no exeption.

Municipal Collection of Succulents
Mythenquai 88, Wollishofen, near the lake. Collection of succulent plants from arid regions all over the world, over 25,000 plants. To me they look just like Cactuses...

Z�rich Zoological Gardens
Z�richbergstrasse 221.Over 1,500 animals, one of Europe's most attractive zoos. Special exhibitions during the summer. The monkeys are funny!
