The inner courtyard space along Maginhawa Street is bursting with creativity. Located just beside the artsy Blacksoup Café + Artspace, another artistic café is available.

THE PLACE
The place is as weird as the name sounds. Inside Van Gogh is Bipolar, there are a lot or mismatched decorations that can easily alter the mood of anyone who goes inside. There are graffiti all over the place and the lights vary in colors: red, yellow, and white. They are also dimly-lit, giving the place a mysterious vibe.

WHAT’S UNIQUE
Everything about this place is unique. From the peculiar interiors to the food they offer, customers can have a memorable and unique dining experience. There are also hats and other prop costumes available, a customer can actually dine while wearing some of their really big specs or big pointy hats. Even their comfort room has its own share in the overall oddity of the place. It’s lit with ultraviolet lights and is jammed with different sexual and artistic photographs and displays.

The store hours is also unique, for it does not have a definite schedule. The reason for its name “Van Gogh is Bipolar” lies within the unpredictable mood of the owner, which also dictates whether the restaurant will open its doors to its curious customers on a certain day or not.

THE MENU
Van Gogh is Bipolar only accepts 12 diners per night, which makes every dining experience here really intimate. They seldom accept walk-ins. For a sure spot, it is recommended to call in first at 434-94-17 to make a reservation.
But just like Gayuma ni Maria, the food in Van Gogh is Bipolar is costly. Its price ranges from 500-1000+ php/head.
