Psychic powers are said to be existent in everybody. It is said that we as humans only use about 4% of our brains in our everyday activities. Very smart people like Einstien are said to have been able to use around 10% of their brain. Many belive that primitive man once used telekinesis and ESP to escape from predators that were much more fiercer than them.
In todays world, psychic powers aren't acknowledged to be real by many, but some still believe in their existance. I believe in their existance becuase I have done much research on the topic, as well as having much first hand experience.
Some argue that psychic powers are inherited, not achieved through disipline. I tend to believe that it would be easier to develope psychic powers if you had a natural affinity towards it, but I beleive that even if you didn't you still could develope some ability.
