Cruckmeole School House

The schoolmasters house greets you as you enter the hamlet of Cruckmeole.

It stands majestic and proud right next to the school.

When Robert Madeley and his family moved to Cruckmeole, the school master was Samuel Ivey.

He and his family came from Bath in Somerset.

Cruckmeole School was just a short walk from the Madeley household.

It must have been such a different experience for them after attending the Shrewsbury Lancasterian School.
