Cania Park Wildlife

In addition to the numerous gray kangaroos that were around the National Park as well as in the Tourist Park, we saw many Wallabies in the area. They are more shy than the kangaroos. They have almost a white beard outlining their faces. The face is much more refined. Mother shelters her joey
Do you see how the mother reassuredly wraps her arm around her "Joey"?
In these two pictures, if you look behind the mother and joey, up the hill, you will see many more Wallabies, curious, but still warily grazing.
Wallabies are rather new to us. We hope to take many more pictures of them and experience them more in the wild. They are only slightly smaller than the gray kangaroo. We have yet to experience the reknowned "Red Kangaroo", which is much larger and more aggressive than these species.
