But the main act of the show, the big "stars", are the Kookaburras. They are related to Kingfishers. They have a large head and beak, are definitely meat eaters (Marghe will tell you blood curtling stories), and are beloved throughout Australia. We had a few in Tannum Sands that hung out around our house. We have yet to attract them to our home in Coral Cove. We continue to try.

Yes, we are the stars, and we know it. Uh Uh Uh UH, ah, Kah Kah Kah Kah, Ka Ka Ka, Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha ha ha ah ah.

They call me "Elvis". You do see the resemblance?
These birds are called "Laughing Kookaburras". Their song is the one you hear in African movies.
