I am from a small community on the Northern Peninsula named Green Island Cove, which has a population of approximately 300. In 1995 I began a Bachelor of Science Program at Memorial University of Newfoundland, with an Earth Sciences major, and upon my Graduation in May of 2000, I immediately decided that I wanted expand my horizon by enrolling in the Education Program at MUN. A number of obstacles were encountered but to date, this has been a very rewarding experience for me.
Many people ask why I chose to enter the teaching profession, but I feel that this career coincides with my personality and interests. I have always been team player and social interaction is a very important part of my daily routine. Becoming a teacher will ensure that I am doing something with my life that I enjoy while at the same time helping students reach their goals. |
