Journal Page Fall 2006
Not much done over the Summer either...

August 29 - September 1st, 2006 - The MCA 30th Anniversary show at the Barber Motorsports Park was incredible, and a huge success too!  Everyone in the Magic City Mustangs club was exhausted (and sun-burnt too), but it was worth it.  Most of the (few) complaints seemed to center around the need for more space!  I'll have some pictures posted eventually.

September 25th, 2006 - I finally finished refinishing the brake and fuel lines! The fuel lines were is pretty decent shape, so after cleaning the rust and undercoating off, I primed them with self-etching primer and painted with Eastwood's steel-colored paint.  The brake lines came from a kit I ordered from Classic Tube several years ago for my Cobra.  The match with the factory Ghia brake lines was excellant (after a little straightening from the shipping box).  These were in bare steel, and I couldn't stand to see tthem get all rusty like the originals, so I hit them with a couple of coats of clear polyurethane after cleaning them with paint thinner.  They are really gorgeous!  Pics to follow...

November 12, 2006 - Cold weather is finally upon us, and I've missed my window of warm weather to complete the cleaning and painting of the bottom of the Ghia once again.  Not that its really too cold to work in the garage, but since the gas water heater shares the same space, spraying paint or cleaning with paint thiner with the garage doors closed is contraindicated!  Hopefully I can get some sanding done here and there along with completing the instrument panel and custom valve cover.
