January 3, 2007
Hey everybody! Hope you're getting the new 2007 off to a good start. I'm gonna miss 2006 because it was a pretty good year. Maybe we can all work to make 2007 even better.
Sorry I haven't done much updating. Geocities wouldn't let me on to update my website. I've been trying since November. Not quite sure what the deal was there. But I did finally get on and I did some updates for you all to enjoy. Browse around and I'm sure you can see the changes.
My Christmas went very well. I didn't get all the things I wanted, but then again if you got all the things you wanted on your list, what would be left to want? Exactly.
Its been awhile since my update in September so I guess I should sum up my NASCAR experience. You knew I would have to say something. In the end, Dale Jr and the Budweiser Chevrolet capped off a top-5 season in points, and I'm proud with that team. That's a big turn around from his career worst 19th place last year, and I'm really really happy to see that reporters are no longer referring to 2005 in every article like they used to. Now they're all referring to Ms. Earnhardt's comments about the lack of committment of her step-son. I guess if its not one thing, its another. As for Michael...poor Michael Waltrip, I can't help but feel really bad for him. This season was supposed to be a transition season, not a quick swim around the toilet bowl. Failed to qualify for 4 races (he did get his way into one though) sure makes you appreciate the 14th and 18th place finishes he got. I really don't think Bill Davis did him right with the equipment he was giving Michael. Now the #55 NAPA Toyota Camry has to qualify in on time for the first 5 races, and that's okay. I think this new team can get the job done and be fast right out of the box. So in summary, I'm really proud of Dale Jr's season, and I'm really glad 2006 is over for Michael Waltrip. Here's to them doing better in 2007!
Well that's all I have for this go-around. Tune in next time for the adventures of the Kung-Pow Buckaroo Buffett...
