"Cubby"
"Cubby" is a Cub Cadet 122 garden tractor that was built in 1965. At that time, they were considered "the most destructive force on the planet."

Cubby has a Kohler 12 horse K-301-AQS motor. That means its 30 cubic inches, 1 cylinder, electric start with a modified oil pan. The oil pan is modified because the motor sits right on top of the front axle.

Behind it is one of the great things about a Cub Cadet, a driveshaft. A tried, true, solid driveshaft. No belts here. This combined with the 12 horse motor and the 3 speed manual transmission is where Cub Cadets get their reputation for power. No belts to slip, nothing to easily break, nothing to give up. And if you do happen to break something, I wanna know what you were pulling when you did it :).
(I broke a rolled steel pin in the drivetrain trying to pull a Farmall H)

Cubby is one of the meanest mudders I've ever seen. He can outwheel the neighbor's Wheel Horse, throw mud like a truck, and I've never once ran out of power.

Cubby was given to me in 2000 or 2001 after Papaw passed away. Since then I've tried to take care of it, with not much luck. Right now the motor is scattered in pieces while it awaits a total rebuild. I'm seriously considering sending the motor to the shop and just having it built and be done with it. Anybody wanna tackle that for me? Hehe.
