Hey Folks! Welcome to my Pics of the Week page. I recently got a digital camera and I figure this would be a great way to motivate me to use it. I'll basically be trying to take interesting pics each week. There is no paticular theme to what will be up here. Oh, and I won't guarantee that the pics of the week were actually taken that week. :) I'll have backup pics for those times I was too lazy :).
To view my more artistic photographic endeavors please check out Armand's Photography Portfolio. Thanks.
This will take you back home.
Please check out the Pics of the Week Archives.

Don't have an interesting New Years pic. But I did paint up this Eldar tank this week :).
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE :)!!!
Awesome movie :). Went to the premiere midnight showing the day before it opened :). Gollum and Treebeard were cool. No, Jar Jar nonsense here.
Went into the city and saw the big Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. I've taken so many pics of that tree. But, it's not Christmas without seeing the tree :)
BIG SNOW STORM TODAY!!! Was too much fun :) It's COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD!!! Look how thick the snow is. That pic was taken at 1PM, it's now almost 9PM and it's still snowing!!! So you can imagine how much of it there is all around. :)
November 25 - December 1, 2002
Filler Pic. I actually took these pics on Dec. 13th. The Pokemon Center store is really cool. It's right by Rockefeller Center. I didn't find any new Oddish stuff though :(.

Here are pics of my new Rhino transport that I built lately. It's an awesome kit compared to the old style Rhino. Was a lot of fun to build and paint.

An old friend has a DJ-ing business and I went with him to go play a party over at Dowling College in Long Island. Was really cool learning how all the DJ equipment works :).
Went the day before the MTV Video Music Awards to watch for any celebrities and was able to see Avril Lavigne rehearsing for the next days performance :). This was in NYC at the Radio City Music Hall.
Update: CONGRATULATIONS AVRIL!!! for winning Best New Artist at the VMA's!!! :)
These are pics of my room in NY newly painted Jazz Blue :). Painting a room is much harder than I thought. This event actually happens the following week, but I needed a pic to fill in this empty week :).
August 12-18, 2002
Sorry, No Pics This Week :(.
Went with a friend to some junkyards in the Bronx. :)
These are the wooden practice swords I bought at Otakon :). The top one is a black, wooden boken. The bottom one is a bamboo, kendo, practice sword.
Went to OTAKON this week :)!!! But sadly no pics. There was just too much to see and do that I would not have been able to do the event justice. There are a lot of con reports out on the web anyways. But before we went home, we stopped by Games Workshop US Headquarters in Glen Burnie, MD :). Saw a lot of cool terrain in the Battle Bunker and got to pick up some nice bits for a diorama ;). Man, I wish I could afford some Forge World models :(.
This week we went to bring relatives sightseeing in NYC. We payed our respects over at ground zero, where the world trade center once stood :(. It was quite moving. We then took a walk down Fulton St. to South Street Seaport. There is the most amazing view of the Brooklyn Bridge over there. It couldn't even all fit in the viewfinder of my camera :).
Ahhh Niagra Falls!!! What a fantastic view there :)!!! Amazing. The first two pics are from the US side and the rest are from the Canadian side. Canada has a much better view on their side. Not much to describe except that the pics do not do the place justice. It's something you gotta see for yourself.
Been painting mini's and playing Warhammer 40k with my cousin Ernest. Here are some pics of my Tyranid army. I totally forgot to get pics of his Tau army :(. I'll have to take pics of his army next time we all get together.
Went to Games Workshop's Games Day 2002 event :)!!! Here are pics of the Forge World Tyranid Harridan and Imperial Warhaound Titan. These models are EXPENSIVE :(!!! The titan alone is around $465!!! Keep an eye out on this site for an event report and pictorial for Games Day. I'll probably have it up late, sometime end of August.

Here are pics of my Imperial Star Destroyer model completely finished. I drybrushed it with a lighter grey to bring out some of the details and also gave it a wash of black ink to weather it a little. I finally found a good stand for it at the mall. The Museum Company store was going out of business. So, I bought some of their display case stands. Works pretty well for this when turned upside down.
Went to FL. Had a lot of fun playing a Nerf War for the first time. But I gotta stress the importance of EYE PROTECTION, and to have rules of engagement!!! NO FIRING ON UNARMED PEOPLE!!!
I paid my sci-fi fanboy dues :). Did you??? Get to the theaters NOW!!!
Notice the ticket for Star Wars Episode II, for the midnight showing before opening day :).
In my futile attempt to not be so wimpy, I've now moved up to 15lb weights :). I've actually got some muscle now :).
I've been working on this model of an Imperial Star Destroyer. :) It's just about finished, just needs some highlights of a lighter grey and some black inking. While I've been busy building my Imperial Star Destroyer model, my sister was making a paper mache pinata for our cousin Camille's birthday. It's Flounder the fish from the Little Mermaid movie. :)
"Rain, rain, go away, come again some other day," NIN
Went to Greenfield's Brazillian BBQ place in NY. Nothing like being served roasted meats from a sword skewer :).
WOOHOO!!! Got my Multimedia Technology Certificate from NYU :). It's GOOD to have an Official document of skill and ability :). Hopefully this leads to many good things.
Here's some more experimentation with the Blue LED flashlight. It's a glowing Obi-wan Kenobi :).
I was messing around with this super bright, blue, LED flashlight I bought.
What's better than walky talkies??? Walky talkies with Boom Mic HEADSETS!!! :) I had to order these from the Motorola website.
Look, it's Claire with a ticket for the Resident Evil movie and posing in front of the Resident Evil Code Veronica X PS2 game :).
Bought a new Motorola Talkabout walky talky with some of the money I won in Atlantic City :). I'm broke again :(. The new one is the black one. I have a pair of the red ones that I got last year. The new one is cool and has NOAA National Weather Service radio broadcasts besides being a walky talky. :)
Spent the weekend in Atlantic City with family. Stayed at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Hotel. Saw a cool show with Shaolin monks about their history and demonstrating some martial arts and feats. Also won a small but very nice amount of money at the casinos :). Oh yeah, pictures weren't allowed in the casino, so here's a pic of the lobby chandeliers. It was also raining and foggy that weekend so I couldn't get any pics of the boardwalk :(.
Finally got Tekken Tag Tournament for the PS2. Great fun. Here are pics of the Tekken Bowl bonus game that unlocks as you beat the game.
Been mostly websurfing, reading webcomics and finally got Final Fantasy X :)
Haven't been feeling well. So, just been staying home being a couch potato and playing videogames. :)
These are some dumbell weights I bought. Been lifting the 5lb. ones since about November. Now I'm working on the 10lb. ones. I know that might not be a lot, But it's a start. :)
Was mostly sick with the flu lately, so stayed home and assembled a bunch of miniatures.
Well, last weeks snow melted pretty fast. But we get more snow this week on Saturday :).
Look the first snow of the season here in NJ :). It's really coooooooold here :). It's hard to make out but the day pic is the start of the flurries. Look for the white specs.
