Welcome to the premier web site for the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania Railfan. As far as I know, this is one of the few web sites dedicated exclusively to Lehigh Valley Rails. I have done searches on many search engines for quite some time to no avail.

Recent News (As of 2/25/02): CSX SW1500 1112 was sited 2/24/02 in the west end of the Allentown Yard, a Conrail SW 1500 from Abrams Yard was seen working on the Bethlehem Steel "river tracks" in the 2nd week of February, Traffic on the NS Lehigh Line continues to build as PBNE exchanges more cars with Norfolk Southern as Allentown Yard has been very congested this February and some trains are now being sorted in Enola, PA and other sorted by PBNE under an agreement with NS. New GATX covered hoppers stored by PBNE are beginning to be shipping out to a facility in NJ that is nearing completion.

With the BethIntermodal (r) Terminal and Norfolk Southern aquiring Conrail, the area has seen increased rail traffic. On the Lehigh Line in Bethlehem, the trackage has increased from three to seven sets of rails with about 20-35 trains a day. It has been confirMany other improvements have been made to the former Conrail system. The Lehigh Valley is a great place to see trains!
