Railroad Pictures
F.Y.I. - CP stands fo Controlled Point or "Electronic Tower". These are used to denote various points on the railroad.
As the northeast slowly fades from Conrail blue to Norfolk Southern black, I have captured some pictures that 3-4 years from now will be a just a reminder of Conrail as it once was from 1976 through 1999. In Detroit, Philadelphia, and parts of Northern & Southern New Jersey Conrail still exists. A vast assortment of locomotives and rolling stock will still be in Conrail paint and numberings. These "Shared-Asset" areas of Norfolk Southern and CSX will continue to operate indefiniely under the sole control of Conrail.
