Armament

The equipment used as a melee Paladin is the heart and soul of the devastion they wreck! OhDali's armorment took many months of treasure hunting to aquire and everything that he wears with the exception of his Rare Ancient Sword was found or gambled by me.

It has taken many, many long hours of treasure hunting and gambling to get these items and while there are mostly certainly many better items in the lands of Diablo nonetheless, I'm very pleased with what I've aquired.

So, without further delay...

Found this armor while playing with my 77 Necro in Act I of Hell mode. I was fighting in the Highlands right next to the Outer Cloister. Killed a minion and this is what he dropped.

"Happiness is a warm ornate!"

I can't remember where I found these boots, but I do know that I found them while treasure hunting with my 68 Spearazon. I thought they were great when I found them but I had no idea that so many people would offer incredible items to get them outta my clutches!

These boots have been deemed good enough to be listed at DiabloII.net for their "Best Rares of Diablo II" collection. A proud moment in the life of a Paladin.

I also found these gloves while treasure hunting with my Spearazon (she's very good at treasure hunting). The SIAS and MF mods were already great but the additional resistances were a great plus.

Talk about luck.. I was just messing around with some friends in the Outer Steppes of Hell mode when I found this crown. We were involved in a big battle and once the dust had settled I saw this rare beauty sitting not to far from me. Another friend of mine also saw it but I got to it first! While I have another helm that has resistances that are even better and also includes the +2 to minimum damage (plus it adds fastest hit recovery). I found it difficult to choose that helm over this crown for obvious reasons (see stats).

What Paladin would be complete without the best shield in the game (currently)? IMO there are only two shields that a melee Paladin requires: Sigon's Guard and a 3D Pavise. The high block rate and +1 skills of Sigon's Guard and the +57 to all resists provided by a 3D Pavise is really all that I require.

Of course, no true D2 player would be caught dead without a Tarn Helm to aid with treasure hunting.

Last but certainly not least.... Goldwrap. IMO there is just no other belt for a melee Paladin to ever wear (currently). There are belts with better stats, but the combination of SIAS and 30% MF are two mods that I've never been able to part with. I've gambled several Goldwraps and I never trade or sell them... it is simply my favorite belt in the game.

With these items and several others that I use for situation substitution I have risen through the ranks to become what you see before you today... A NUT! hehehe
