I present to you the Chogokin Zaku II. This is Char's personal steed This figure also has a diecast chest and feet just as the RX-78. The rest of the figure is done in plastic.

The sculpting of Char's Zaku II is also done to mimic the original animation. This main turn off some collectors but I personally love it as I already have the Master Grade Char's Zaku II. Something slightly different is always welcome in my book. Most complainants of the figure are concerning the feet, which most fans consider too small and out of scale. I slightly agree with this but the Chogokin Zaku II is still a great toy.

The Zaku II design has always been well received by fans. In fact I believe it may be more popular then the RX-78. The Zaku II definitely has an eye-catching design from the mono eye to the shoulder shield.

Char's Zaku II includes a bunch of accessories, although not as much as the RX-78. But the Zaku II was always less equipped then the RX-78 in the anime so no complainants should be warranted.

 Char's Zaku
  1. Diecast Char Aznable
  2. Zaku Machinegun
  3. Shield
  4. Zaku Bazooka
  5. Heat Hawk
  6. Open Hand x 2
  7. Trigger Hand x 2
  8. Holding Hand x 2
  9. Closed Hand x 2

Bandai improved all the poor areas of the Chogokin RX-78 when Char's Zaku II was produced. The thin, weak joints of the RX-78 have been corrected as the Zaku II has thicker, stronger joints. This is much easier to accomplish due to the Zaku II being thicker than the RX-78. Bandai also improved the articulation of the Zaku II. The RX-78 had several sections in the torso that needed to be removed in order to achieve full articulation of the figure. This is not the case with the Zaku II. The Zaku II features a rubber skirt which also allows the Zaku II free leg articulation with no hampering.

The Chogokin Char's Zaku II is a great toy just as the RX-78 before it. Most collectors prefer the Zaku II toy due to its improved articulation, improved durablitly.

Bottom line is, Gundam fans should already have a Chogokin RX-78. And what fun is it if the RX-78 has no one to battle. Do yourself a favor and pick up Char's Zaku II.

Check out that knee articulation. Your momma's Star Wars figures can't do this.

Here are a bunch of various action shots. Nothing really special. The Zaku II is just showing off what it can do.
