TRANSFORMERS CAR ROBOTS
Takara's latest and some say greatest incarnation of the Transformers. Takara goes back to the old school vehicles after Beast Wars. Collectors realize how much we missed the old school vehicles. Currently this toyline represents the pinnacle of engineering in transforming toys. The toyline is a mix of mostly new molds and a few repaints and reissues here and there.

BEAST WARS
Beast Wars is Hasbro's follow up to the original Transformers here in the States. Generation 2 toys didn't sell as well as Hasbro hoped so they decided to drastically alter the formula. Vehicles become beasts; Autobots and Decpeticons were replaced by the Maximals and Predicons. A new show is also created. Instead of traditional cell animation Hasbro has a computer animated show created.

BEAST WARS 2
Takara originally imported Hasbro's' Beast Wars to Japan. However the computer animation was not as popular in Japan so Takara went back to more traditional cell animation and Beast Wars 2 was born.

BEAST WARS NEO
Takara's followup to Beast Wars 2 in Japan. Beast Wars started to lose in popularity by now which caused Takara to revitalize the Transformers and release the new Transformers: Car Robots.

BEAST MACHINES
Hasbro's followup to Beast Wars. Beast Machines, the show, is not well liked by many collectors for numerous reasons. The toys are mostly well done but don't expect them to match the show designs.

TRANSFORMERS GENERATION 1
The original and still the best series of Transformers. As everyone knows Hasbro imported the toys that were destined to be Transformers from various Japanese toylines. The main two toylines that served as the source were Takara's Microman and Diaclone line.

NOTE: The Optimus Prime I have is not the original toy. It is the reissue Takara released in Japan as part of the Transformers : Car Robots.

TRANSFORMERS GENERATION 2
Hasbro released followup toys to the original Transformers. No cartoon show was created for these toys. These were not as popular but there are still some gems in the bunch.

GAOGAIGAR
While not a Transformers toy line. It is one of Takara's transforming creations. This was Takara's last transforming toyline in Japan before Beast Wars. Any Transformers fan should check out the toys in this line.
