Ok, lets see - where did I go in my speartime...
RAINFOREST TOUR
For work reasons I did a rain forest tour once- in the close park.
We could only get 4 guest to join us, Ha, Nop and me were leading the tour through the bushes...but that was hardly the reason why we had a small group...NO ! It was because it was pouring that day - which on the other hand made the trip a real experience...for once that we hardly got wet with the trees functioning as a huge natural umbrella, secondly I had the revelation that bamboo indead is a dangorous plant - don't touch!
One of the guest we took had a few problems ( maybe mentaly..) walking on a entirely dry ground...the tour took as twice as long due to her...but it was fun anyway. Everybody enjoyed it and I must say I've never seen anything alike! Beautiful! I've got to ask Nop to send me some pics!
Kho Waeh
Now that was a great trip too! Bianca, Mint and me went out to the Island next door to do some diving! First time for Mint - so we guided her and draged her arround. I had another revelation! Do not get to close to coral - it might be poisonous! autsch!
Never the less the underwater environment was so pretty that day.. abit murky at first but later on it cleared up and the wildlife was pulsating. Thousands of fish - biger ones, and tiny bright coralfish. sea anemonies, lobsters, venusshells, sea stars and even a turtel. We chased that thing for about 10 minutes with Pepes camara - got some nice shots of it too - you'll see! But the catch of the day was definetly a LBR membership card! you simply can't escape it!
Bike Tours
Did that a lot ! With plenty of guests following me! Great feeling! I could take them whereever I wanted - withion a 2 hour mark of course - but my standard trip was up to Rian Beach. A lovely and totally deserted beach north of the hotal wich has a lot of charm to it. Especially as it changes every time you get the with the ocean moving in and out of the bay imensely. When the tide was out you could have thousands of little crabs running over the hot sand. A little creek comming down from the side carrying fresh water, mangroves at the other side of the beach. Sometimes you can observe fishermen there or people collecting shells in the shallow waters.
Had another revelation there: Do not let fireants climb into your shoes!
