RADIOHEAD

Radiohead continue to no surprises fans with unexpected music. So far, everything in it's right place has been pure genius. No one can be optimistic with all songs or explain their music truthfully so please don't laugh or call me an ideoteque... I might be wrong.

ALBUMS

The Bends - The transition period. Some great tunes in it and some deep stuff. I can't explain. Stand outs - "[nice dream]", "fake plastic trees" and "The Bends"

Kid A - Personal favourite. This album is just Thom Yorkes mind brilliantly regurgitated into music. The music itself includes a lot of techno / mixedupupsidedowninsideout stuff. Complete masterpiece. Unable to explain. Standouts - "The National Anthem", "How To Disappear Completely", "Optimistic", "Kid A"

Pablo Honey - Growing pains. This album includes a lot of stuff written by Thom at college in a cage. Great rock sound. No Radiohead albums have any ties (except maybe "Ok.." and "The Bends") but of them all this is the furthest away. Pure rock. Acoustic, solos, all the usual stuff. Standouts - "Creep", "Anyone Can Play Guitar", "Ripcord"

OK Computer - Most popular album. This album is the best example of words and meaning < music. Capitalism. Politics. Depression. A View From Above. Obbsession with aliens. All are twisted into music. Brilliant album. "Paranoid Android", "Karma Police", "Subterranean Homesick Alien", "No Surprises"

Amnesiac - This album is really a continuation of what Kid A started off. Radioheads fifth full length album is a mix of both Kid A and The Bends. Acoustic mayhem and Computer aided mayhem. They even go so far as to recall Enya's heyday in "Like Spinning Plates" and the catchy riffs of Pablo Honey in "I Might Be Wrong". Thom explores contemporary jazz chords in "Pyramid Song" and straight jazz in "Life in a Glasshouse". It's a classic album once you get into it. Once you get into it. "Pyramid Song", "Knives Out", "I Might Be Wrong", "Life in a Glasshouse".
