The Second Call for Papers for the second joint LSSA/SAALA conference has been issued (3 March 2003).
- Associated documentation is available in two formats viz. individually as MS-Word documents or bundled together in a Zip file:
- Information bundled in Zip format. (You would need a utility such as WinZip to read the file.)
- The Second call in MS-Word format
- Scheduled workshops (Automatic Speech Recognition by Dr. Stefan Ploch; Literary Translation by Janie Oosthuizen and Prof. Ronel Johl; Neuro-linguistic programming by Dr. Louis Calitz) and a colloquium (Language policy and historical Afrikaans institutions by prof. Theo du Plessis): also in MS-Word format.

Do note that abstracts may be submitted to the respective society members (indicated below) of which you are a member.
As such, LSSA members may submit abstracts of papers to Prof. Raj Mesthrie.
The closing date for abstract submissions is 17 April 2003.

The LSSA/SAALA conference will take place back-to-back and on 2nd July it will overlap with the World Federation of Modern Language Associations (FIPLV) Conference.
