OK I hate to say this but it was a bit disappionting. They cut the movie way way way to short. It was shorter than the
first movie by 20 minutes! The experience was fun though.
We were up at about 8:30 even though the movie didn't start until 11:30 (there wasn't a midnight show *sniff sniff*) I think I dragged my ass outta bed at around 9. I was tired cause we tried to watch the first two movies the night before. Starting that at 11:30 at night isn't a smart idea, I fell asleep before they found out about Norbert in the first movie, didn't even make it to watch the second one. Well, I eventually got dressed, waited for Lyndz to get back and we we're on our way.
We caught the 10 0'clock bus just so we would get there super earliy incase they oversold the show. This was a good thing cause we soon found out once we showed up that it was a PA day for all elementary public schools. There were 5 and 6 year olds there shortly after us. We weren't the first ones in line but the second. The people who were there before us we're dressed up too so that make us feel less like dorks. The line up outside the door didn't start until 10:45. Some little kid was having his birthday party and that kinda annoyed every one since he was allowed in before the movie theatre even opened.
They opened the doors around 11:05 and it was a mad rush to the back of the theatre but we did it. Ian and I got the back centre while Lyndz and Andrew got the popcorn and iced tea. They didn't have Harry Potter buckets out yet, can you believe it????? So we got stuck with Shrek 2 buckets (which was an awesome movie! btw)
So we sat and watched other Harry Potter maniacs pour into the theatre. The people who sat infront of us thought it was totally cool that we were dressed up as Hogwarts students. One girl even said, "Oh I can be a dementor since I'm all dressed in black!" The only other person I saw dressed up was our student's council president from last year. It was nice knowing that someone older than us was dressing up too.
Well the rest of the story is pretty much we sat and watched the movie and were slighty disapionted. The scenes they chose to do were done brilliantly but like I said they cut out WAY too much. I don't think it would have made sense to someone who hasn't read the books. Well, lets just hope they haven't butchered Goblet of Fire as bad but they already cut out the Dursley's so my hope is slowly fading.
