| enrolled in at least six hours of coursework at Longview Community College in all semesters, excluding the summer during their term of office. If any officer fails to meet this enrollment requirement, the officer will forfeit his or her postion. Section 2. The Kappa Tau Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa shall have the following officers: President, Vice President of Leadership, Vice President of Correspondence, Vice President of Public Relations, Vice President of Service, Vice President of Fundraising, and Vice President At Large. Section 3. The duties of the President shall be: a. Preside over all business meetings. b. Appoint and establish any necessary committees. c. Vote only in case of a tie. d. Serve as an ex-officio member on all committees. e. Present buisness to the organization. f. Represent the organization at all times. Section 4. The duties of the Vice President of Leadership shall be: a. Perform all the duties of the President in the event of the President's absence. b. Coordinate all committees. c. Review and revise the chapter constitution annually. d. Head a committee to review the chapter constitution when needed. e. Serve as the Program Chairman. f. Coordinate all induction ceremonies. Section 5. The duties of the Vice President of Correspondence shall be: a. Take roll call at meetings. b. Take and read minutes of the meetings. c. Maintain records of past chapter correspondence meetings. d. Maintain a file of chapter correspondence and chapter documents. e. Maintain a record of chapter members and produce periodic rosters of chapter membership. f. Complete the official report of the new members to submit to National Headquarters. g. Keep records of enhanced member checklist. Section 6. The duties of the Vice President of Public Relations shall be: a. Coordinate the production and distribution of the chapter newsletter. b. Maintain a current mailing list of chapter members. c. Coordinate the publicity for chapter events. |
