And so we progress... Minutes to Midnight Today is the release date of "Minutes to Midnight", the new LP album - I puchased it today, and I'm impressed. The evolution in the music is evident, but it still has elements which define the unique Linkin Park sound. Anyway, I'm doing well these days, I hope Kim is too. A Note From Liz... Today I finally downloaded a backup of this whole site. There is only so long you can trust an old Geocities account with the only copy of your site. It is interesting, looking around this site after such a long time! I am quietly proud of this site, made with a girl called Kim in about 2001. My working on it played a great role in prompting me to go into web design and multimedia professionally. Latest Linkin Park news: Pts.Of.Athrty Video!! surprise news, I turned on Kerrang yesterday morning and to my astoundment, there was a video for the new Pts.Of.Athrty remix out! Obviously to promote reanimation...the video is computer animated with robots singing. There is a big battle type thing like a cross between the lord of the rings battle, and the star wars driods. A big robot tries to kill all of the driod things: then the big thing gets killed by what looks like large blue opaque octopus tentacles. Very strange indeed! Heavy Promotion Month! Firstly, Happy July 4th! I know I'm a Brit, but I am also half Yank, so we do the whole July thing! lol. The promo for Reanimation is well underway. I am out of touch with the romo happening in American, as all of my American contacts have dissapeared... but LP are regular Kerrang! features in the mag, and all 4 singles have been put back on the playlists for Kerrang an MTV2. In The End (being the commercial popularity it is) is also making regular appearances on MTV, Smash Hits and The Box. "The Story Of Linkin Park" documentry has been shown at least 6 times this fortnight on MTV, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Adverts appeared soon on the channels. Posters are beginning to appear in the windows of the record stores, and the Net-Promo is going strong. Promote the album yourself by handing out this flyer! Elsewhere, Linkin Park themselves made a video for the new With You remix, which LPU members were invited to, well some were, and the video will apparently be released on the music channels to coinside with the album, and rumour has it that it might be released. Reanimation Promo and Artwork The promo has begun for the new remix album, 'Reanimation'. Above is the design which is on the adverts, a scary looking robot with a gun. A full tracklisting had been released, which you can see here. Other news, You can vote for LP or your other fave band in the 2002 Kerrang Awards. You can't vote for their album cos that was 2001 - but you can vote for In The End as best single and video, LP as the bast international live act, and best band in the world. If you're American and dont know any British bands to vote for, some suggestions: lostprophets, feeder, stereophonics or muse. xxLiz Ahem, yeh, no updates, wrong date - sozzles! Yeh, release date is JULY 31st. Its will be at least 60 mins, apparently! which is good. Hmm I'm sure I had something else to write. Oh well. Draven? We're not sure! We have heared on the grapevine that Baby Draven is due any time soon, and we wish Chester and Samantha all the best of luck with the new baby!!! More news when we find it! Other news: Cyclefly have released their album with Chester's Voclas on, and the QOTD soundtrack is released in the UK in may. Remix Release Date! Rumour has it, on the LPU, that the release date for the as yet untitles remix album is *2nd July 2002* watch this space! lol Kerrang 100 starts/Ozzfest Chester got #7 in the 100 greatest stars 2002 in Karrang Mag this week, and also there a rumours of LP on the lineup for Ozzfest and Reading in the UK this year. (I hope not, I can't go to either! lol -xxLiz) See yah! Not much news The Projekt:Revolution is over now, and Linkin Park are apparenly hidden away in a studio somewhere, writing a new album / finishing the remix album. And uh, That's about it. LP did a charity concert the other day, and that was really popular. There was a small article of them in Kerrang this week...there is a picture of a considerably large number of people at the long-beach show, and tells of how they went crowd-surfing during shows. New album's sposed to be released this autumn, but we think, judging by usual record-company timing, that may mean that it could be out by perhaps...2004? Queen of the Damned Chester will appear on the Queen Of The Damned movie soundtrack, on a song called 'System'. The soundtrack was originally writted and recorded by Jonathon Davies of Korn, but for legal reasons he could not appear on it so all of the songs were re-recorded. You can hear Chaz's really cool, scary, gothy song here. It's a really cool song, and the movie is out now in the States. Adema Cancell P:R Dates Adema cancelled 2 Project:Revolution tour dates (11th + 12th Feb), due to 'family emergancies'. One rumor is that Mark's sister is ill. LPWY would like to wish Adema and their families all the best, and we hope they'll re-join the tour ASAP! Rumor has it that LP are doing a song for the new 'SpiderMan' movie. DVD in UK DVD out in the UK. POA will be released as a DVD Promo, but not as an official single. All DVD secrets are released on the LPU site. We'll have them up here soon. Chester's doing do a track for the Queens of the Damned soundtrack. LP are on their tour of the US right now. Remix album out this spring, new album to be recorded this summer. LP in Kerrang LP are in K mag this week, with a review of the KROQ show, and also Chester is in the LOOKIELIKIES section!
