The final step was a new paint job. This is where a computer is really useful. I toyed with no less than 25 paint schemes before I settled on this. The wheels haven't been painted in this shot but I've since painted them black.

The paint itself was masterfully done by an artist named Russell Wilson. Photographs never really capture the effect of metallic flames. They need to be seen on a bright sunny day, just after they've been cleaned and polished.

There's nothing like a cool paint job to grab peoples' attention.
