Comments: This is a great disc. This is a very clear stereo recording said to have come from an open digital microphone. It's a little overdriven and the crowd can be heard, but it doesn't interfere. Bass feedback interferes with Smells Like Teen Spirit, most likely because of sensitive microphones.
"About a Girl" is listed twice because it's spread over two tracks. The first 8 seconds are on track 6. Track 7 begins when the drums kick in. This "extra" track screws up the remainder of the track listing. Sliver and Breed also share a track. The show fades at the end of "Lounge Act" and abruptly continues with "On A Plain", breaking the continuity. Kurt doesn't say much, but the band still plays a great set with plenty of energy. An early "All Apologies" and Lounge Act are a nice addition.

Comments: This was the bands first performance in Japan. The recording is a little rough, but still very nice. They start off the show with "Negative Creep." Before they play "Smells LikeTeen Spirit," Kurt says to the crowd, "We will patiently wait for the dinosaurs to die out. They will die�. And then we'll move into their homes.."

Comments: The sound quality found on this disc is great, but the set list is fairly typical. The band plays well, and does a good job, but they appear to be having a hard time getting energy from a Japanese crowd... the only thing keeping this disc from getting an A+. After "About a Girl" Krist tells the crowd that he's been sick lately and has been taking a Chinese remedy containing "cow sperm", and "reptile penis scrapings"... he says "I'm not getting better, but I just want you to know it makes me feel good to know I'm drinking cow semen." The next song is "School", at the climax Kurt sings... "drinking cow sperm again.... drinking cow sperm again... drinking cow sperm again.... DRINKING COW SPERM AGAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!." Probably the highlight of the show. This is a great document of Nirvana's Nevermind tour in Japan.

Comments: Leer, released in April 2000, is the only commercially available disc of the 6/26/92 Roskilde Festival show. The recording is from a digital audience source and is sharp and clear throughout. Track one, labeled "Intro," is the sound of Tori Amos singing her rendition of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" being piped over the speakers before the band comes onstage. The band appears to be in good spirits as the show progresses. Kurt goofs around after "Aneurysm" anouncing "I would now like to perform a guitar solo" and performs a 10 second mock solo. He later ends "Polly" with a whiney voice, most likely because he was irritated with the clapping audience. Kurt later congratulates the crowd on winning their "Sporting event" (It had just been announced that Denmark had won the soccer/football world championship), he also changes a line in "School" to "Your in Football aGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIN!!!!" Kurt also conratulates the audience on winniner their sporting event before the encore� Did Denmark win a big soccer event?
The second to last performance of "Swap Meet" can be found on this disc (the last performance was 6/27/92). For whatever reason, Kurt continued with the mock solo's during Love Buzz, during which Dave goes nuts on the drums. The show ends with another mock solo and Dave makes a reference to Nuno Bettencourt, former guitarist for the band Extreme.

Comments: This is the 1st FM broadcast of this show. This is a great performance. The band jokes about how this is their last show. At the start of the show, Kurt was rolled onto the stage in a wheelchair wearing a wig and a gown... he stood before the microphone and uttered the first two lines of "The Rose" before collapsing onto the stage. For laughs, the band covers Boston's "More Than a Feeling" for a while before kicking into "Smells Like Teen Spirit".

Comments: The Buenos Aires show is a riot!! The band screws up many of songs on purpose, including stopping "Smells Like Teen Spirit", 20 seconds into the song and refusing to play it the rest of the night. Earlier, the crowd had thrown bottles and stones at Nirvana's guest opening act "Calamity Jane." Kurt is pissed, and dictates the direction of the show on a whim (he didn't use a standard set list). He screws around with the opening chords to let Dave and Krist know what he wants to play next... including a rare performance of Beeswax. Kurt sings the first verse of "Come As You Are" with hey,hey, hey,hey.. (a hey for every syllable). Dave and Krist get into the action also... Dave plays cymbals jokingly during Polly, and chants "A, E, O" over and over during his and Krist's solo. The entire bass solo is a joke, and the poor Argentinean audience doesn't sound like they know the band is screwing with them. The sound is excellent and the show is one that you'll want listen to over and over again.
