1. Have a web site As long as you have a site that is appropriate, LotR related, and interesting, we'll make you a graphic. Be a kind web master/mistress, as little swearing as possible, please, and nothing that isn't appropriate for young children. We don't want the name of Lothlorien soiled because we made a graphic for you. No good site, no graphic, sorry.
2. Be a kind webmaster/mistress! This is very important, once again, we don't want Lothlorien to be marked as the maker of graphics for a site that has a cruel webmaster/mistress. Just be nice, and keep the swearing to a minimum, that's what we ask. Not too hard, huh?
3. No graphic stealing! This isn't just our graphics, but if we find a graphic that we KNOW is from another web site, we will refuse your request. The only way you can get out of that is by saying where you got the graphic or image, and giving due credit to that site. If it's one of our graphics, we will refuse all further requests, and you will get a lecture via e-mail from Arwen about stealing.
4. Link us back!! This goes along with the previous rule, but please, PLEASE, link back to Lothlorien for as long as our graphics are on your site. If you want to keep it up longer, you are most welcome to.
5. No Direct Linking! When we say link back, it doesn't mean direct link. Save one of our buttons to your own computer, and upload it. We won't direct link you, so why do it to us?
6. Know what kind of graphic you want!! Please be specific. Let us know if you want a certain picture on the graphic, what type of graphic you want, what size, what colors, and what writing (if any) you want on it. These are a list of the things we will make:
Splash Images
Wallpapers
Buttons (Animated or not)
Hiatus signs
Banners
Layouts (See layout rules below).
7. Let us know where to find the image you want! Send us the image URL or the image itself with the rest of your information (See below.) If you want a picture on your graphic, you MUST do this!!
8. Send us an e-mail Send Arwen and e-mail here or send Tinuviel an e-mail here with the following: (NOTE: if you don't send ALL of the information we ask for, your request will be refused)

9. Wait PATIENTLY!! After you send us an e-mail, wait for a reply. It might take us a few days to get back to you, but we will send you a confirmation letter when your graphic request has been accepted. Wait again for the graphic to be sent to you. If you can't do that, don't request. We're not machines, so we can't make it right away, unless you want a sloppy graphic. If you need it by a certain date, we'll do our best to get it to you by that date. If not, wait. We will usually finish the graphic within a week of sending the confirmation letter.
10. Sign the guestbook (Optional) Since Arwen checks the guestbook whenever she can, sign the book to tell her to check her e-mail. She can also check Tinuviel's, if need be. Just let us know you've requested a graphic, and tell who you sent your request to. You don't have to do this, but doing it will draw attention to the fact that we need to check our mail. That way you get your graphic faster! So it's a service to you as well as us.
11. Enjoy! Once you have your graphic, enjoy it. Put it up on your site and let your visitors see it, too. Keep it up as long as you like, and if you don't like it at all, let us know, that way we'll know why you didn't put it up and why you put all of these flaming rants about us on your links page.
12. Pay Us $20,000,000,000!!!!! Just joking. All of the graphics we make are free, even our layouts. The only payment we need is to know that you liked the grpahics we made and the work we put into them. A simple thank you next to the graphic, and a link back in your credits page will be fine. However, if you would like to pay us for the work we did, let us know, and we'll send you our addresses!! No seriously, don't. A link and a thanks is all we need. Nothing else will be needed. Thanks.
Layout Rules:
This is our policy for making layouts. If you don't like it, find someone else to make a layout for you. Right now, Arwen and Tinuviel make only Div Layers layouts, and Galadriel doesn't make them, but that is subject to change at any time. If you don't now how to use an HTML layout, there will be instructions on the layout itself, just open the "Main.html" page in Internet Explorer and figure it out from there. Most of it is pretty self-explanitory.
1. Have a site Your site should probably be new, since more expericenced HTML webmasters/mistresses should be able to make their own. If youir site is a Pagebuilder, Arwen would be overjoyed to make an HTML layout for you! (Just ask Tinuviel!)
2. Know at least some HTML If you don't know HTML, we doubt you'll be able to figure out our layouts. A small knowledge of HTML is all you need, though. Just know how to make links and put up pictures, then you'll be in good shape. The more you improve with HTML, the better the site will look. Only a little HTML Knowledge will make the site look kinda bad, and we can't help you there.
3. Know what you want the layout to look like Do you want to have just one image? A line separating the main section from the sidebar? What colors/characters do you want? Any specific fonts you want to use? Sidebar on the left or right side of the main section? What do you want as your site title? Let us know the answers to these questions, and a little more information as well, please!
4. Know what your site is about Our layouts are not made for just LotR sites. Just let us know where to find the pictures you want on your layout, and we'll make it.
5. Send us an e-mail Send us an e-mail using the addresses above, and send all of the information above in # 8, as well as the extra stuff in the section's #3. That's all.
6. Wait PATIENTLY!!!! Wait for a confirmation letter before assuming that we're making a layout for you. It'll take us a little longer to make the layouts than to make other graphics, since we need to find the codes and get the image to look right. Expect your layout within 2 weeks or so after recieveing your confirmation letter.
That's it! Just do all of that, and you'll get your graphic! it doesn't seem so hard, does it?? We're pretty lenient, too, so your odds of getting accepted are good. Just do all that we ask, and you are accepted. If you don't make the cut, we will send you a rejection letter, but don't take it the hard way. There is always room for improvement. So if you don't make the cut, keep trying to improve your site, and then try back if you still need us. Also, to prove that you have read all of this, put something along the lines of "lothlorien grafix request" in the subject box of the email. If it's not there, we'll read it if we're in a good mood and MAYBE you'll be accepted, but if it is there, your chances are a lot better. If you don't like the graphic we send you, just let us know, and if you want us to, we'll try again. If not, you can leave the graphic off of your page and never speak of it again. One graphic per request, please. If you like our graphics, you may request again, but we don't want to be flooded by requests from the same person. Try to keep the requests down to one every 2 weeks to a month. Thanks.
