Fatloss:The Process
The Process
Fatloss, I am sure you have figured out involves exercise to some degree, you just don't know how pertinant exercise is. As well as this I am sure you have figured out that fatloss, again to some degree, involves eating healthy. Again to the degree you are not certain, well as the URL states (two components [http://www.geocities.com/lose_weight_info/twocomponents.html]) both are equally important.
Comprehension of the Issue
You must understand why both of these things are necessary for your goal to be reached. This isn't just something you do! It's actually happening to you, it's biological science in action! You must understand the basics to know why you must do it.
Understanding 'Triglycerides'
Fats (biochemical compound = triglycerides) are also known as lipids. Fats have one major purpose in biochemical relevance and that is as energy storage. Think of fat as a lot of potential energy. It is not being used (as of yet) but if used, it has the potential to release a lot of energy your body can utilize. In a nut-shell, fat is nothing but stored energy. See below:
Don't worry I don't expect you to see anything about that diagram, just a nice touch I think. The point is that fat is stored energy. To burn fat, you must force your body to revert to "fat-fuel" as opposed to "sugar-fuel".
Forcing Fat to be Fuel
How do you accomplish this? Think of it this way, Sugar-fuel is basically the "default" setting. Your body will use sugars formed from the digestive catabolism of carbohydrates you eat as fuel by default. One way to revert to fat-fuel is if you run out of sugar-fuel then logically.
Sustenance
Obviously what you eat is as important as how much you exercise. Both equally contribute towards fat-loss. Think of it as right hand and left hand. Exercise (right hand) is helping to substantially reduce the fat accumulation in your body. You don't want your left hand (eating habits) to counter act the right hand's actions, but to facilitate it. While your right hand is getting rid of fat in your body, your left hand is preventing any excessive fat-intake. All of these analogies must be driving you crazy but they will be elucidated in the following pages.
