You may be at slightly increased risk for cardiovascular and other diseases according to the range of your BMI. While there is no evidence to suggest that a weight loss program is needed, prevention of any further weight gain is recommended. I recommend that you start cold turkey with 40 minutes of aerobic exercise, if not daily - then minimum 4 times a week.

As for eating healthy I would recommend a dietary change-again cold turkey- (not a dietary change CONSISTING of cold turkey - but you know...).
Cut out all fats from your diet, limit carbohydrates (unless its directly after your intense workout) and eat slightly more protein. Drink plenty of water both before and after your workout as well as numerous times through out the day. All of this information can be found in the eating healthily page of this website. You should see results in no time if you stick to this plan and don't "cheat" on your diet. (Sure you can designate one day a week to eating the foods you enjoy, pizza, cake whatnot - as long as you are comitted to continuing with exercise after this.) -- eating the foods you enjoy once a week prevents the severe cravings that usually are key factors in dieters' failures.
