Dr. Grabow Pipes & Texas Railroads Home Page

OK, OK -- this isn't the real counter! My boy found this one when I was helping him make his webpage and I couldn't pass it up. The real counter is at the foot of this page.

Welcome to the Home Page of R.J. McKay. The purpose of this page is to share information, primarily about Dr. Grabow Pipes, some personal favorite Texas railroads, and the technical side of railroading. I am by no means an expert and welcome information from others concerning these and other subjects. I'll probably never attain my goal, but I would like for this site to serve as a "clearinghouse" of information, particularly that NOT FOUND readily from other online or printed sources. Please bear with me as I attempt to learn Web Page publishing as I go. This site is currently undergoing some major reconstruction. Please explore the pages and return often for updates -- AND DON'T HESITATE TO EMAIL ME with your comments about this Web Site or any of its contents. If you are interested in receiving occasional railroad related photos by email, just let me know your interests and I will be happy to put you on a "mailing list" reflecting that. No promises or guarantees as to what you get, how many or how often -- just when I get around to it.

This page was created in WordPerfect 7.0, edited in Netscape Navigator before uploading and now edited and maintained in Microsoft Notepad. Last Updated on August 16th, 2006 by R.J. McKay. Comments welcome! Pages removed included ones for: Angelina & Neches River; Belton Railroad; Gulf West Texas & Pacific; Houston & Texas Central; New York, Texas & Mexico; Port Terminal Railroad Association; San Antonio & Aransas Pass and; San Antonio & Mexican Gulf. If you have an interest in these railroads or miss seeing the pages, let me know. I didn't feel they added anything significant to the fodder of information available and removed them to make room for increasing the quality and depth of other remaining pages on this site.

On the email link below, you will manually have to replace the three X's (xxx) with the usual @ symbol -- I have had to do this in order to thwart idiots who think they need to steal email addresses for spam purposes. Sorry for the inconvience.

Thanks so much for dropping by and visiting my site. I appreciate links leading to this site and welcome any comments or criticisms. I am a novice at Web publishing, but with your help and feedback, we can only hope that it will get better.
