Bozo Texino
I have always been interested in "Boxcar Art", and like many people, am a fan of some of the drawings and characters behind them. When it comes to "Bozo Texino", there are actually two of them, both supposedly started at about the same period of time, but most people seeing this site, like myself, will only actually remember the second one. The first Bozo and his story is provided below:
The "second" Bozo was also done in Texas, and continued to be applied to railroad cars into the 80s, at least. Through a mutual friend and boxcar art fanatic, I came to know this fellow after wondering about the person behind the drawings for years and years.
One of the most valuable things in my collection is my autograph from "Bozo Texino" to ME:
