STRINGHAM FAMILY
My Stringham family is full
of hams! We love to get together and tell stories, jokes, recite, and
perform for each other. We keep in close contact. There are 2
grandparents, 8 aunts and uncles, 21 grandchildren, and 3
great-grandchildren. This is what we do to strengthen the Stringham
family:
Family group email. This is our family's
best strength. An uncle set up an email address that anyone can email
and reach the entire family. Since there are only about 20 adults, it's
easy to keep current on a weekly basis. Our family is stronger since we
also share experiences, feedback, ideas, and have a strong network to
contact the family members quickly.
Family reunions. We have family reunions for
a major event: marriages, births, and catching Grandma and Grandpa
between missions to other countries! It's only slightly easier to
schedule with a smaller family, since half of the family is in Utah &
Idaho, but the other half is in Texas or some part of the world!
Extra-extended family. Grandma's mother's
side always keeps in touch. They host a yearly, one day reunion and
publish a fantastic family newsletter, The Nielson Notes.
