EYRING FAMILY
My Eyring family is great! We
include 2 grandparents, 12 aunts and uncles, 32 grandchildren, and
(about) 14 great-grandchildren. We are well-educated; each of the
original children (4 aunts and 2 uncles) earned college degrees under
the encouragement their parents.
The Eyring family loves to get together to eat,
play cards, and talk politics. When we decide something's important,
Eyrings will make a plan and take action. We are currently meeting the
challenge of Grandma's declining health. These are the ways we
strengthen the Eyring family:
Regular family reunions. This is our
family's biggest strength. Our family has held reunions, mostly
biannually, for 20 years. Each of the six children takes a turn hosting
the reunion near their home in the Western United States or Canada.
Everyone contributes, and activities have included sightseeing, family
pictures, games (sometimes all day and all night,) food, all sorts of
recreation, performances, family councils, family home evenings, and
lots of stories and talking.
Eyring family website. Just launched in
spring 2004, our family website is a place where everyone can see
pictures, get contact information, and read about family news events. We
also have a growing section for family histories.
Geneology. Our genealogy is well-researched;
some branches extend back several hundred years! We are working on
personal histories.
