| ghost stories: Library: The wood room is place in the back of the library named after a doctor. It is not well known to some students, even some who work there. The Sigma Chi fraternity uses it every week, and it holds the rare book collection. Employees don�t like to go in there however because they feel it is cold and creepy. It�s been said that in the wood room of the Library the ghost of an old man who used to work there roams around, not wanting to leave. The former employee apparently loved his job at the library that even in death; he did not want to leave it. Instead, he still roams the library carrying out his duties just like he did before he died. Theatre: Charlie, the theatre ghost is said to haunt the cat-walks of the theatre, along with other areas as well. Several students have reported strange behavior occurring in the back of the theatre around the dark corners. People who have been working there alone have told stories of disappearing items, strange noises, and odd things happening to them when there seemed to be no one else around. Hill Music Hall: According to students, there is one specific practice room that is �spastic� because a ghost haunts the building. Students have reported hearing pianos playing in the middle of the night when no one is around, and other strange occurrences. Perhaps the ghost is feeding on the emotions of others. Andrews Dorm: It�s been said that a ghost haunted the now demolished Andrews Residence Hall Ecoscape: It�s been said that ghosts roam the ecoscape, angry at all the students who leave beer cans and trash in their area. The ecoscape is a fairly secluded, natural area pretty much at the farthest point on campus. People have said that there are spirits that reside in the ecoscape Simpson: There have also been reports of a ghost in Simpson. Since it is one of the oldest buildings on campus and rarely inhabited except for the occasional sorority party, it makes the perfect location for a ghost. People are afraid to enter by themselves, especially at night. |
