Over the 4th of July holiday, Julie took a lot of time to pamper Lacey.  She even taught Lacey to obey "Sit" and "Lay".  (So our doggie will not be a grammarian.  Oh, well!)  Actually, Lacey learned the commands very well.  If you tell her to "Sit", she will either sit or lie down for a treat.  If you tell her to "Lay", she will either sit or lie down for a treat.  This is much better training than she has had in the past.

	At first Lacey was not sure what was required of her, but she was willing to look up to Julie for the answers.
After a while she got the idea.  "When Julie pushes me down, I have to lie in the floor."		. . .and when she says, 'Sit', I just sit down.  This is easy!	It wasn't long before she had Julie trained to say, not only "Sit" and "Lay", but also "Good dog!"
Then she could do her favorite "trick": Lie on her back and get her tummy scratched.	"I love my Lacey!"
