Marious of Clan Tremere began the long slide of disgrace, which plagued the clan for a long time to come.
In addition to his foolhardy plans and lack of for thought, he was ignorant Tremere who was quick to take offence.
He foolishly attempted to take the Royal Ontario Museum at the height of Setite dominance in Toronto. He failed. It was his work, which caused the first major breeches of the Masquerade in Toronto's past. In fact during the forth gathering of kindred in Toronto Marious, in an effort of defiance dragged in a mortal from the Street and embraced her. It was not long after this that Marious got himself killed while engaging in hostilities with the Setites once more. The mortal vanished from the kindred population, and was dealt with by Prince Rydell.
Because of him the Tremere were unofficially banned from Toronto. Any visitors from the clan were shunned away, and no Tremere was given acknowledgement for some time, until Kharn arrived. He was the first of many Tremere who came to Toronto to secure Toronto as a Tremere city. At first it was even rumoured that Kharn himself would be pushed away, but regardless of any resistance he stayed and retook Toronto for the Tremere, taking princedom itself. It was also Kharn who took the ROM where Marious failed. This was the end of a long period of Tremere disgrace, which Marious began. Rumour has it that if he was not killed by the Setites the clan would have reclaimed his blood in the nights to come. Be this a warning to any headstrong Tremere. Toronto takes no pity on those who are reckless.
