Pagan Union Catalog KioskClick Here to Connect and Search PUCKThe direct link is:http://www.librarycom.com/cgi-bin/opac.exe/login?library=PLGPUCK&checkbox=checkbox The Pagan Union Catalog Kiosk (PUCK) is a unique Pagan Library Guild initiative. Our goal for PUCK is to create a union catalog that can serve as a means of locating esoteric, religious, and magical literature from religious libraries around the world. By establishing an integrated library system, and a following a common set of cataloging practices, Pagan groups from all over can share their collections with each other. The PUCK working group discusses all the issues related to the administration and use of the catalog on our PLG-PUCK email list. You can subscribe to the PUCK list on our discussion page. On March 17th 2005 PLG purchased our first subscription integrated library service from LibraryCom. This will be the first iteration of the Pagan Union Catalog Kiosk. Currently, the option to add your library's holdings to the union catalog is limited only to organizational members. A direct link to the catalog will be forthcoming after the March 26th PLG open meeting. Current contributors to the PUCK catalog are: D.C. Radical Faeries, Washington, D.C., Eric S. Riley, Founder's Collection, Washington, D.C., The Open Hearth Foundation, Washington, D.C., PagaNet Inc., Norfolk, Va., & The Pagan Moon Library, Howell, NJ. Eric is currently making the rounds with the organizational members and training folks on how to utilize PUCK. We're getting a slow start, but things will be getting better as soon as we dig in and get down to the hard work of cataloging. If you would like to schedule an appointment for a weekend training session 4-5 hours on a saturday, you can email him at: licinius @ Yahoo.com.
