Lichfield School is a small rural school of 95 pupils.

The School is one of the oldest in the area - we date back to 1884 ! Today we can boast being a modern, well-equiped school, right up to play with IT and many other resources. Lichfield itself is now the home of the World's larget cheese factory, exporting around the world ! Children attend Lichfield School from the age of 5 years up to the end of Year 6 (10 or 11 years of age). We have four teaching classrooms and a well-appointed, well-stocked library. We also have a swimming pool and an almost-completed Hall.
Mission Statement: Lichfield School and its Board of Trustees will provide for its children, an education which will equip them with the skills to reach their highest potential as citizens of New Zealand. We believe that it is our responsibility to assist each child to develop to his or her fullest - intellectually, physically, culturally, socially and emotionally.
