Mrs Putt teaches the Room 4 children - Years 3 and 4.
At the moment Room 4 are looking at CONSERVATION. We have been to visit the Kiwi House at Otorohanga. We saw some kiwis fighting for their ground. We saw some blue ducks in the aviary and pigeons and saddlebacks. They were neat how they pecked their feathers. The kiwi burrows were really tiny - some of us thought they would have been really huge. Also, the female kiwi is larger than the male - we thought they were the same size ! You had to look very carefully to see the geckos because they were camouflaged.
Before we visited the Kiwi House we were sending e-mail messages to them saying that we were looking forward to coming.
In class we are making posters about keeping our world clean.
