It took me a while to calm down and realize that my responses to Rick were indeed overly harsh, and if I was given the opportunity, I'd reword my posts. I want you and everyone to know that when I came to my senses, I realized the full ramifications of my verbal abuse, and the possibility of H2O's shutdown. Someone under the name of "M. Shilmer" E-Mailed me not too long ago, and made a silly analogy of how I "wrecked the family car" and didn't see the "problem" associated with it. I want to make it clear that I did take this into consideration, and I accepted the possibility that I might have discouraged Rick from ever coming back or posting. When people like The Australian, Friend and "M. Shilmer" kept "pulling the wings off of flies", so to speak, it didn't encourage me to make those realizations known. What if I was lambasted even more and given an additional "guilt trip" or two for doing so?
I want you to know something else... I was once a very sincere and "loyal" Witness who tried his best to toe the Society's line. Please don't think I'm boasting about this... Kristin, I hate to break your heart, but I "faded away" from JW's over a year ago, and when I learned the truth about "The Truth�", my personal convictions and sense of justice would never allow me to return without staining my conscience. To put it simply, I have left JW's with no regrets and have no intentions of ever returning again or joining another religion.
If you would like to discuss the situation with Rick a little more before we put this behind us, please E-Mail me at the provided address. Maybe we can touch upon some things which we never had the opportunity to do so in here.
I want to apologize not only to Rick for being overly harsh, but to everyone in this forum for placing each and every one of them in jeopardy. I had no intentions of ruining it for everyone by being "the straw that broke the camel's back." It was not deliberate in any way, shape or form. And I apologize for creating a situation where H2O would and possibly could have been shut down permanently.
I still stand by my views of Rick, but I have tempered them with rationality, and I now have the common sense to word them in a manner more suitable for this forum.
I just hope everyone reads this...
