I am glad you are back.
I agree with you on the NIV issue, but you got out of line with the insults. I don't agree with Rick's reasoning in that thread, but Rick did not deserve the insults you gave, and I am not surprised you were banned. However, we all make mistakes, and all is forgiven. At least from my point of view.
For some time, I believe Rick was suffering symptoms of burnout. I've been there. A break from H2O will do him good. I hope Rick comes back soon though. I miss him.
Hopefully, Rick will find it in his heart to forgive you. I personally disagree with your assesssment of Rick, for reasons I will explain privately.
I personally disagree with Rick on many issues, but I find him to be a fine person. I believe he is completely sincere in what he is doing.
Rick (and other H2O admins) may believe that the Society is God's organization, but they are not braindead Dub robots. They see the flaws in the organization, and they ARE DOING WHAT THEY CAN to change things.
If that means being a "good JW" at the KH and disagreeing privately, that is the course of wisdom. They believe God's enemies have taken the reigns of the org. King David used subtefuge to foil God's enemies; even the org presents that as a good example to follow.
Again, I will give more information privately.
I would like Kristen for intervening on your behalf. I sympathies also go out to Kristen about her son's death. The shunning policy must end.
