That's like saying that a small puddle of water outside your house is evidence of a worldwide flood some hours earlier. Sure, such a flood could leave a puddle behind, but other evidence, such as the fact that your house is standing and that you're not drowned, is definite, absolute evidence against the idea.
It's the same with a global flood. There are always some founds that could be considered compatible with the idea of a huge flood. But an amazing amount of other evidence, like the existance of huge ice caps in Antarctica and Greenland, and the fact that the Chinese and Egyptian civilizations lived right through the time of the alleged flood without even getting wet, is definite and conclusive evidence against. Add to this the physical impossibility of any and all flood scenarios ever invented, and you have a non-event: something we can know with 99.9999% certainty did not take place.
You're
putting the cart before the horse by using your belief in the inspiration of the Bible as evidence of a flood.
